Why Membership?
In the Church, "membership" isn't about gaining access to rights and privileges as much as it is about owning the mission. At The Vine, members are those who share in the beliefs and partner in the ministry-- the work-- of our church. All are welcome to worship with us and participate in our community, but membership is a kind of covenant with our community: It's a commitment to a local expression of the global Church, to be physically present and personally known.
Requirements for Membership
To become a member of The Vine, one must:
-be baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit
-give a credible testimony of personal faith (on your membership form)
-commit to worshipping regularly with us, giving generously to the ministry of the church, and voting on important decisions when called upon.
Our Anglican Communion
We belong to a large branch of the Christian family known as Anglicans. This is a more recent development for The Vine. It’s a long story, but the Lord led us here. We are in the biblically traditional and gospel-driven province of the Anglican Church in North America and Diocese of the Carolinas.
